Re-Forage is motivated by the urgent need to address environmental challenges while reviving historical heritage through sustainable living practices among youth.
Who We Serve
Urban Youth Workers
Operating in settings with limited green spaces and heightened pollution levels, requiring tailored approaches to environmental awareness. Each partner organization contributes at least 6 participants.
Rural Youth Workers
Living outside cities, these participants are familiar with traditional practices like agriculture but seek to enhance their skills in sustainability and conservation. Each partner contributes at least 6 participants.
1. Discover Phase
Planting the Seeds
Recruitment of participants, creating awareness about the project purpose and engaging with youth.
Tending the Garden
7-day training retreat in Gotland, Sweden at a remote ecovillage, discovering sustainable practices through workshops and hands-on activities.
Collecting the Seeds
Documenting the process and harvesting knowledge of near-forgotten essential skills like gardening, sewing, and foraging.
2. Experiment Phase
Online Leadership Workshops
Three comprehensive sessions on personal leadership and behavior change to maintain engagement.
Co-Create Retreat in Denmark
5-day experiential learning journey to apply new skills in different contexts.
Ongoing Mentorship
Continuous support to guide participants in implementing sustainability initiatives.
